I’m taking part in the Big Walk to raise money for Shelter on the 11th December and I’ve even persuaded two girlfriends to join me. We are The Parkland Wanderers and will be walking 10km on the Parkland track.
It's been a difficult year & things have really hit home - least of all that I’ve been housebound and my world has really become smaller working from home! Other than this being a fab opportunity to get out and get some air I also realise how lucky I am to have a roof over my head. Not everyone does which is why walking for Shelter is important to me.
Please Go to this page to donate - no donation too small - every little counts!
Your sponsorship will do incredible things from supporting people whose jobs & homes are under threat to campaigning for a stronger safety net for everyone. The money raised will help Shelter campaign to end rough sleeping, build more social homes & protect renters who face discrimination and eviction: £10 could pay for two webchats of online support and advice. £20 could pay for two calls through our emergency helpline. £80 could pay for two face-to-face advice sessions. £120 could pay for a legal advice session for someone facing housing problems. £150 could help someone keep their home resolving a complex housing issue for them.
I really hope that this finds you and your loved ones well and sane and thank you very much in advance for your donation!
Absolute bestest wishes
