The medieval monasteries were closed down nearly 500 years ago but they shaped the City that we know today. Join Alison Woollard on this fascinating tour of the fragments and clues that remain and her exploration of how their work and ideas continue to this day.
About Alison
Alison Woollard qualified as a City of London guide in 2015 and leads tours which cover all of the City's history from the arrival of the Romans to the construction of the latest tall office blocks on Bishopsgate. She is intrigued by the way, over the centuries, the City’s inhabitants have left clues about what lies beneath. London changes all the time but everyone from the Romans to modern Londoners share some of the same needs when we live in cities.
