This evening ride continues on from our Spring ride, with a focus around the work of Hawkins\Brown.

Don't worry if cycling is not your thing, please join as much of the tour of buildings as you wish.

Proposed Itinerary;

Meet at the new Hawkins\Brown studio at 30 Clerkenwell Road for a brief show around, then cycle up to Regents Canal (about 1 mile)

Cycle along the canal side, to Hertford Union Canal and Hackney Wick (about 4 miles), where the practice has several recently completed mixed-use residential buildings (to view from the outside)

Then on to Here East to see the Gantry and the main building for the Bartlett School of Architecture - followed by sitting at Hackney Bridge for evening refreshments.

If there is still time the cycle could divert from the canal to cycle up to Hawkins\Brown's mixed-use school and residential development Tiger Way which is on the north side of Hackney Downs Park. Depending on the group, there is also the possibility to see Portlands Place which is in East Village and was constructed using modern methods of construction.

A lovely and very interesting way to spend a mid-Summer evening!

Proceeds will go to the Temple Bar Trust and WCCA Charitable Trust.
